What is Botox?
Botulinum toxin, commonly known as Botox, is a neuromodulating protein that can be injected into muscle to weaken or paralyze it for a period of time.
Why do we use it?
Toxin softens and prevents existing wrinkles by relaxing the facial muscles it is injected into.
How long will my appointment take?
Toxin can be injected very quickly (in a matter of minutes) but we like to take our time assessing your face and doing a full consultation so prepare for a 45 minute first-time appointment.
What’s with the different names?
Botulinum toxin is the generic name but it is well-known by brand names such as Botox, Xeomin, Dysport, Nuceiva, Xeomin, and Letybo.
How long before I see results?
You will start noticing results 3-5 days after injection and it can take up to 14 days for the full effect. Free touch ups are offered at the 14 day mark if the results aren’t perfect. You can expect results to last 3-4 months.
